There is a good argument to be made that Jeff Goldblum should get a role in every movie that's produced, ever. Admittedly that task would be problematic, to say the least, although the actor was actually quite close to landing dozens of pivotal movie roles over the years; from Peter Venckman in Ghostbusters, to Doc Brown in Back to the Future and Han Solo in the Star Wars films. Most notably, back in the early 2000's when Ang Lee was casting his rendition of The Hulk, Jeff Goldblum was in consideration for the part of Bruce Banner. Instead the role went to Eric Bana, who was largely shackled by the film's cumbersome tone. You get the sense that even if Goldblum had been cast, he wouldnt have been a good fit for Lees vision anyway.
