In Chris Evans' upcoming directorial debut Before We Go the actor stars alongside Alice Eve as a couple who meet under unusual circumstances at a 1:30 train to Boston in New York City. The film features the two getting rather cozy with one another, to say the least. However, this budding on-screen romance almost happened years before this when Alice was a frontrunner to play the role of Captain America's love interest Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger. The role would ultimately go to Hayley Atwell who appeared in both The First Avenger and as an elderly version of the character in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It would have been interesting to see Eve in the role. Especially seeing as Marvel is in the midst of producing an Agent Carter TV series for ABC. Who wouldn't want to get a weekly dose of Alice Eve?
