If it has ever bothered you that Arnold Schwarzenegger will never be able to become President of the United States because he wasn't born in America then perhaps you'll become even more upset when you learn that the Austrian actor also never got the chance to play Marvel's most patriotic superhero for the same reason. The film in question was 1990's Captain America, which ultimately starred Matt Salinger in the titular role. Arnold only missed out on the role because of his thick accent. A few years later the actor would go on to play Mr. Freeze in Joel Schumacher's superhero blunder Batman And Robin, thus proving that he wasn't really cut out for the world of comic book movies anyway.
