30 Greatest Star Wars Characters Of All Time
1. Obi-Wan Kenobi
In the end, it could be only Obi-Wan Kenobi. The flawed, witty, pessimistic, wise, funny and tragic Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan went through it all during his epic and emotional arc.
He lost his master, defeated the likes of Darth Maul, General Grievous and Anakin Skywalker in lightsaber combat, lost his best friend and the woman he loved, and spent his later years on Tatooine, hiding from the Empire and protecting Luke Skywalker through his childhood. Later, he trained Luke in the ways of the Force and set in motion the fall of the Empire.
The joy of Obi-Wan's character is how undeniably human he is - despite being one of the wisest and most level-headed characters in the franchise, he nonetheless makes mistakes. Thanks to the performances of Sir Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor, and with his role in the Skywalker Saga being so large, Obi-Wan truly is the best the Galaxy has to offer.
