30 Horror Movie Survivors Who Probably Wished They'd Died

Many horror movie survivors end up facing some of the nastiest bereavements imaginable, with this poor kid in 2009's The Collector being a good example of this.

The Collector is a so-so horror-thriller in which a handyman and former convict named Arkin (Josh Stewart) reluctantly breaks into the home of the family he works for in order to steal a jewel so that he can pay his wife's debts. Unfortunately, someone else has already broken in: a vicious serial killer named the Collector (Juan Fernandez), who uses traps to kill his victims.

The titular villain's modus operandi is to kill nearly everyone in a house and leave just one person alive for him to kidnap and take back to his hideout. In the end, the Collector kills everyone in the household except for their youngest daughter, Hannah (Karley Scott Collins), whom Arkin had become close to while working at their house. Arkin manages to save Hannah, and he ends up being the one who the Collector kidnaps.

It's a relief that this adorable, likable kid survived, but lest we forget, she's now lost her entire family - her parents and her older sister are all murdered - in one go. How could a child ever get over that?
