30 Most Anticipated Movies For The Rest Of 2018

8. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-verse

Into The SpiderVerse
Sony Pictures

This may be the seventh Spider-Man movie of the 21st Century, but Into The Spider-verse doesn't look much like any of its predecessors. For starters, it's animated, with an awesome, heavily-stylised design that brings a mix of computer animation and a hand-drawn comic book look.

It's also about Miles Morales rather than Peter Parker (though he will still appear), and will focus on his own struggles at juggling being a high-schooler with being a superhero, while not being the only Spider-Man around.

Shameik Moore voices Morales, with the rest of the cast including Mahershala Ali, Jake Johnson, Bryan Tyreese Henry, and Liev Schreiber, with a screenplay from Phil Lord. There might be talk of Spider-Man fatigue, but this looks like a whole new, brilliant take on the character.
