Who's Involved: Though no director has been announced yet, Marvel have made the peculiar choice to hire documentary filmmaker Mark Bailey (Ghosts of Abu Ghraib, Last Days in Vietnam) to write the film, while rising star Chadwick Boseman (42, Get on Up) takes the title role. What's It About: An origin story for T'Challa, prince of Wakanda, who must assume the role of Black Panther after his father is murdered. Why We Should Care: Because it's not only one of the trickier movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far, but Black Panther is also one of the most iconic comic book characters of all time, and the first mainstream black superhero. When's It Due: November 3, 2017.
