Hype: Ignore the issue of reshoots (this is not Suicide Squad), and embrace the fact that the trailers for Rogue One still suggest that it's a war film and the first Star Wars anthology film is a hugely exciting thing.
Set between the prequels and the original trilogy, the film obviously trades on nostalgia, but crucially it tells a story worth telling, with interesting looking characters, great actors and a hungry young director with a great vision.
Sure, it might be considerably darker than The Force Awakens, but that's no bad thing, and you just know it's going to rival Fantastic Beasts, Captain America: Civil War and Zootopia at the top of the year's box office.
