12. The Insanely Rushed San Diego Sequence (The Lost World)
One of the biggest mistakes The Lost World makes is that, though the idea of transporting a T-Rex to San Diego is kinda freaking cool, it feels ridiculously rushed because the dinosaur isn't unleashed, get this, until 16 minutes before the end credits roll. What could've been a modern day answer to King Kong is instead stupidly short and not anywhere near as involved or exciting as it could've been. Maybe cut every moment with Kelly in and the T-Rex would already show up in the city a good 10-15 minutes earlier, which would give the film a solid half-hour of T-Rex city-stomping action - pretty much what everyone wanted to see when they bought their cinema ticket, right? Instead, by the time the Rex is recaptured, it's spent just 12 minutes of the movie rampaging. It's not enough.
