32 WTF Moments From The Oscars 2016

3. Inarritu Wins Consecutive Best Director Oscars

Though it was widely expected that Alejandro G. Inarritu was going to scoop the Best Director Oscar for his work on The Revenant, he cemented himself in the record books by being only the third director in history to win back-to-back awards, following John Ford's awards in 1940 and 1941, and Joseph L. Mankiewicz's in 1949 and 1950. That's right, Inarritu did something that hasn't been done in over 65 years, and it's safe to say that it'll probably be a long while before we see it again. Also, props to the director for standing up to the play-off music and just talking straight over it.

2. Leo Finally Wins The Oscar

That's right, the Internet can finally shut up because the meme is dead. Leonardo DiCaprio has finally won an Oscar on his sixth nomination for his sublime turn in The Revenant, to a rapturous response both at the Oscars and online, where he pretty much broke the Internet. Leo gave an incredibly classy speech, thanking those involved with the film before drawing attention to climate change and asking for more to be done to battle greedy corporations. As for the funniest reaction to Leo winning? It's going to be hard to beat this one.
