2. Throwbacks To Previous Works
It's always a treat when there are throwbacks to movies and television shows the people in the movie have worked on. There are several of these in The World's End and I couldn't help but freak out to myself almost every time one of them popped up. Several examples of this in The World's End is the music in the beginning sequence was music also used in Spaced, the specific sound effects heard from slot machines in the bars are the same from Shaun Of The Dead, and one of the bartenders in the movie was one of the actors from Spaced, which was a really nice thing to see because he kind of disappeared after the show was over. This list goes on but you have to go and see the film yourself to find them all! I assure you that it is well worth the eight bucks or however much it is where you go.
