Hollywood loves a remake. With A Star Is Born and Scarface, 2018's Hollywood is proving already that it loves to remake remakes. but before you dismiss the latest take on the Scarface story, know this: it's being written by the Coen Brothers (who will hopefully direct), and it stars Rogue One's Diego Luna, so it's already got lots of pedigree.

Luna will have an almighty battle on his hands to even try and compete with Al Pacino's definitive performance, but the even better news is that the Coens are changing the story to follow an entirely different character - and a different nationality - set on a similar American Dream path up through the criminal world.

It might be hard for purists to accept, but as long as it's different enough, we should still be assured of a great film.
