40 Movies That Will Kick-Ass In 2018

17. Ocean's Eight

Oceans Eight
Warner Bros.

Oh look, another reason for self-styled Meninists to lose their minds online: an all-female take on the Ocean's franchise. Hopefully, some of the more reasonable commenters out there will be able to look past the supposed affirmative action of the film to realise that Gary Ross' spin-off has an enviable cast that could capture wonderful chemistry.

And it's not even all-female. The primary cast is made up of Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina and Sarah Paulson, while Damien Lewis, Dakota Fanning, Matt Damon (in a cameo probably), James Corden, and Richard Armitage are all in supporting roles. Regardless of what's in their pants, that's a lovely cast.

If they can capture the old-school caper vibe of the original trilogy (and avoid the boredom of Ocean's 12) we should be in for a treat. And for One Direction fans, Zayn Malik is making a cameo, so set your reminders now.

Release Date: June 8th
