5 Actors That Could Play Guy LaPointe In Kevin Smith's Tusk

3. Seth Rogen

Seth Rogen is another actor Smith has previously worked with in an actor-director capacity. Rogen starred in Smith's 2008 feature, Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Though the movie didn't light up the box office, Smith and Rogen enjoyed working together and it would make sense that they would want to do so again. Rogen also makes sense because he's already Canadian. It would be advisable for Smith to be searching for actors with Canadian heritage to portray a French-Canadian cop in a film that is supposed to take place in Canada. It would also be logical that he would search for Canadian actors he's already worked with. It would be exciting if Seth Rogen had the part, because it would be a different kind of role for the funnyman. He's tried comedy and even dabbled in serious roles, but Rogen has not yet tried to bring across a man of authority or toughness and it sounds like that's exactly what Guy LaPointe is. Being able to show Rogen in a new light to audiences would shed light on Smith's excitement and his wanting to wait to reveal whom the actor is. After all, saying Rogen is going to play a cop in your movie just sounds goofy. However, if you have footage to back it up and quell people's reservations then your film will look better and take less heat.
