5 Actors That Could Play Guy LaPointe In Kevin Smith's Tusk

1. Jay Mohr

When comedian and actor Jay Mohr first tweeted about his desire to start a podcast, nobody major people responded to him. That is until Kevin Smith saw the man's passionate tweets. According to Mohr's podcast, Mohr Stories, Kevin Smith had Mohr hooked up with equipment and a producer within a week. Smith even blessed Mohr and helped him later in going off on his own to start a competing podcast label, FakeMustache Studios. Mohr has praised Smith again and again and vice versa, yet the two have not worked together on a film. They haven't even done a podcast together (Mohr did fill in for Smith once on Smith's podcast Hollywood Babble-On). However, Jay Mohr seems like he could be the most likely candidate for Guy LaPointe. Mohr has been an actor crossing paths with Smith again and again recently, so it would be natural that the two would have discussed the possibility of working with one another soon. Considering Smith claims he only has two movies left to go, Tusk would be one of his last chances to work with this actor. Jay Mohr has also expressed his interest in moving to more dramatic roles on his podcast. He's mentioned Smith a few times as a potential director he'd love to work with. His recent work includes Clint Eastwood's Hereafter and he claims he wants to continue with such demanding roles. Smith's previously mentioned excited tweet could be a representation of his glee to be working with a friend for the first time or his eagerness to give an actor like Jay Mohr a potentially breakout role after a medium level career in the movie business. Who do you think will end up being revealed as Guy LaPointe in Kevin Smith's new horror movie? Are any of these candidates likely or will it just end up being Jason Mewes?
