5 Actors Who Need To Work With Wes Anderson

5. Adam Sandler

I€™m not going to pretend to be some big Adam Sandler fan, because I€™m anything but. I€™ve never found the guy to be particularly funny, and it€™s obvious that he doesn€™t care much about making great cinema. With that being said, he absolutely has the ability to. There are two films in particular, Paul Thomas Anderson€˜s Punch Drunk Love, and Judd Apatow€˜s Funny People, in which Sandler turns in fantastic performances. Knowing that, seeing him make gross-out, terrible comedies is extremely frustrating, because some big talent is being wasted. Unfortunately, the dude makes a lot of money, and he€™s never going to stop putting out those despicable films. If he does ever decides to make one more awesome movie, though, it should be with Mr. Anderson. His collaboration with PTA was more of a drama than anything, while Funny People was smart, but straight forward comedy. A pairing with Wes could be a nice balance of drama and humor, as most of Wes€™ films are, and it€™d be interesting to see how Adam would handle the quirky dialogue.
