5 Awesome 2012 Summer Movies and 5 That Sucked

...and 5 That Sucked.

5. Ted

I know I know, everyone liked Ted. It was a smash hit and audiences cracked up and yadda yadda yadda... I didn't like Ted. Not really at all. The only reason it isn't higher on this list is because there are four worse films from this summer season. That doesn't take away from the staleness oozing out of every lame joke in Ted. It starts out strong, as young John (Mark Wahlberg), a friendless dolt, wishes his stuffed bear could talk and gets his wish. The humor is lively in the first reel, but it steadily and startlingly declines throughout. I found myself checking my watch a number of times, which is never good for a film labeled as a comedy. You should never be bored in a comedic film, yet I found myself struggling to make it through Ted. The jokes aren't as edgy as most would have you believe, and the talking bear shtick grows tiresome sooner rather than later. Again, I know I am in the minority hear, but it wont be the last time.
