5 Awesome Bond Themes and 5 That Sucked

1. GoldenEye

http://youtu.be/qGPBFvDz_HM Tina Turner, with help from Bono and The Edge made the best song of all time. Now before detractors get all up in my business about favorite Bono and the Edge, I should say, full disclosure: There is no band that I hate more on this earth than U2. Tina Turner, nails it. She€™s a strong, sexy woman whose powerful vibrato kicks the listener in the teeth. There may be a meta element of this song as Turner sings €œYou€™ll never know how I watched from the shadows as a child/You€™ll never know how it feels to get so close and be denied.€ This may very well be Bono and The Edge talking about their own relationship with their favorite secret agent. Element of Danger: +8 This song evokes images of numerous dangerous spy scenarios. The Ladies: +8 Not as sexy as Diamonds are Forever, but that€™s just setting yourself up for failure. It€™s all in Turner€™s voice. She really lets lose in the last 30 seconds of the song. Cool: +8 This song€™s super cool, but it does have Bono and The Edge attached to it, so minus one point for each. Why it€™s number one: She sexily sings about dangerous spy stuff. It€™s the perfect blend of all three elements. This song is so good that it set the model for every subsequent Bond song (including Another Way to Die and this year€™s Skyfall) except Chris Cornell€™s You Know My Name. They even used a remixed version of this 1995 song for the intro to the Wii James Bond game released in 2010.
