5 Awesome Ed Norton Performances and 5 That Sucked

1. Stone (2010)

Norton€™s Character:Gerald 'Stone' Creeson Why It Sucked: Edward Norton and Robert De Niro, together in one movie? Awesome right? Wrong. Admittedly some people loved this seemingly never ending character study about a convicted arsonist, his wife and his parole officer, who just can€™t manage to keep it in his pants. Ok, maybe €˜Why It Sucked€™ is a little harsh, but in my eyes, this is definitely one of Norton's more lacklustre performances. His surprisingly restrained performance seemingly builds and builds, but never fully manages to build to that killer moment. And despite De Niro being arguably at his best in years, Stone€™s ultimate surprise is in Milla Jovovich completely stealing the show. Didn€™t see that coming did you? So there you have it; 5 Norton performances that ruled and 5 that drooled. Still, even in the €˜sucked€™ list there are movies that are worth at least a look in. Norton is a phenomenal performer and to be perfectly honest, the fact that he hasn€™t yet won an Oscar boggles the mind. Did we miss anything out? Or did we bad-mouth something unjustly? Do let us know, but be nice won€™t you?
