One of Namor's most prominent, long-standing and formidable foes, Attuma was born as a member of a tribe of barbaric Atlanteans who had been banished from their homeland many years ago. For some unexplained reason, he was born with strength, endurance and speed far superior to the bog-standard Atlantean and, as a result, he was more than capable of standing up to Namor in a physical battle. He grew up to become a nomadic warlord and an enemy of the Sub-Mariner. He believed he was the prophesied conqueror of the Atlantean Empire and, as such, sought to bring Namor's kingdom down. He is a mighty looking villain who could potentially look phenomenal in a big budget adaptation and, regardless of whether or not he appeared as Namor's first opponent, would absolutely have to appear at some point in any movie continuity in which Namor appeared.
