5 Awesomely-Awful Arnold Schwarzenegger Films

1. Batman and Robin €“ 1997Arnie Mr Freeze This is a film that has been talked about, vilified, and placed in the same level as some of history€™s biggest travesties. While almost unwatchable due to nipples on the Bat-suit, a ridiculous plot, and even more ridiculous villains, there was one shining, terrible thing that makes this movie watchable (kind of): Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze. This is an awful casting choice to begin with as Mr. Freeze was neither foreign nor was he a giant bodybuilder. This plot of this film is pretty straightforward: Mr. Freeze needs a diamond so that he can turn the new Gotham telescope into a freeze ray (because scientists are always worried about the weaponization of telescopes), and hold a frozen Gotham ransom. Also, Bane and Poison Ivy are involved but none are near as memorable as Mr. Freeze. While Poison Ivy was trying to seduce the bird and bat, Mr. Freeze was making his base in an abandoned ice cream factory and forcing the Dynamic Duo to battle his henchman in ice-skates. He did all of this while laughing manically and freezing everything. Also, anything Arnold says in this film is the most amazing ice/cold pun you€™ve ever heard. I still ask my friends €œWhat killed the dinosaurs? ZE ICE AIGE!€ Defining Moment of Awesome-Awfulness I mentioned it earlier, but everything Arnold says in this film is great. It€™s horribly punny but when delivered by an actor who has a basic grasp of how English works and has no place being a Batman villain, it becomes an amazing train wreck. Are these movies just bad, even with Arnold€™s involvement? Any films I left off or any films that shouldn€™t have been on this list? Drop me a comment below!
