5 Best Bars to Get Drunk in Movie and TV History

3. Chalmun's Cantina - Star Wars (1977)

You knew I'd have to mention the Star Wars Cantina, right? This is my favorite roadhouse when I just want to get away from life for a while. Chalmun's Cantina is a popular joint for smugglers, thugs, and spacers. With its "No Droids" policy, it also sets itself up as a perfect meeting place to discuss overthrowing the Empire out of earshot of sentry droids. I can't even begin to count the number of revolutionary plots I've overheard in this place. Then there's the band. I can't say enough about the musicians; they're funny-looking, compact, weird, and downright talented. And finally, there are the patrons. Now I know most of you haven't visited many spaceport pubs, but take it from someone who's visited every spaceport gin mill between here and Tatooine - these joints are the perfect location for "people" watching. And for those of us who ARE people watchers, nothing matches the Cantina at Mos Eisley. How fun are the patrons?: ™™™™™ - Just looking at most of these guys is fun Safety for drunkards: ™ - About the only way to get thrown out is to shoot somebody Chance to pick up hot girls: ™™™ - If you're okay with Wookie women and green chicks, this place is heaven
