5 Changes That Would Have Improved Terminator Salvation

3. A More Prominent T-600

terminator-salvation-box-office One of the things that seemed such a wasted opportunity in Terminator Salvation was the appearance of the T-600 model of terminator. We€™d heard about them in the first film and knew they had rubber skin, but instead of creating what was supposed to be Skynet€™s early attempt to replicate a human the film€™s designers instead created some pathetic Frankenstein€™s monster looking things that are huge with built in guns. They would honestly have zero chance of fooling anyone, and the fake Arnold Schwarzenegger prop head they made for The Terminator in 1983 was far more convincing that what Skynet were supposedly able to create as a infiltration unit. The Sarah Connor Chronicles showed their version of the T-600 and they looked much more convincing as rubber skinned terminators then what the massive budget movie could produce. The T-600 could potentially have been the scariest terminator in the whole series due the uncanny valley factor. Humans find close but not quite perfect versions of people creepy. With the T-600 they had the chance to really creep out the audience with what would look like almost real people, but a complete lack of humanity. Instead all we got was over sized mankey versions that were stupid. Think about it, why did the T-600 Reese hung up by the ankle shoot its own foot off to escape? Surely a robot with a built in machine gun would have expert marksmanship and wouldn€™t have to shoot its own foot off at point blank range.
