Though it's still in the early stages, this is a movie franchise that we actually think Rousey could do well in. First, it launched the career of pro wrestler Dave Bautista as far as Hollywood is concerned. Sure, he'd been in The Man with the Iron Fists and Riddick, but Guardians gave him a role that he really ran with, stealing the show and earning rave reviews. He won't be winning any Oscars, but it got him noticed. No one really expected Dave to go that far in Hollywood - after all, what wrestler other than the Rock has - but now, he's got a chance. In any case, fans of the series would no doubt be open to another experiment like this. Second, it's clear that director James Gunn knows how to work with new talents. Prior to Guardians, he might have been best known for the campy horror flick Slither, which starred Joss Whedon alum Nathan Fillion. Gunn has worked with veteran actors and newbs like Bautista alike, so he'd no doubt be perfect for someone like Rousey. Finally, it's a universe where she would fit right in as a tough, trash-talking female combatant. She'd be right in her element with the action sequences, and like Bautista, could really take off in a decently written role in Guardians 2. Any other franchises you'd like to see her in?
