5 Justice League Moments We Needed To See (That Didn't Happen)

3. Clark & Lois: A Real Reunion

Call me old fashioned, but any reunion between Clark and Lois—DC’s original power couple—is deserving of its own special segment, even in a colour-wrapped film such as this that may not prioritise romance.

Think about it—the strongest being known in the universe has just come back from a death nobody thought possible, and we didn’t even get a cute, half-naked kissing-in-the-bath scene? Even Batman vs Superman had a cute, half-naked kissing-in-the-bath scene, and he was alive for all of that! Nearly.

Lois said it best herself when, not long after being reunited with her formerly dead partner, she remarks that she has to send him away. Does she seem genuinely upset to be losing her Man of Steel, her Captain of Krypton, yet again? Sure, but considering we barely see the pair bask in their rekindled….both….living….simultaneously again, the inevitable parting of the ways passes again without much notice.

Maybe I’m a hopeless romantic, but a quick chat in the Kent’s corn field didn’t really give the sense of reunited lovers heading for a potential apocalypse. Instead, the vibe we got was more “So, when are you going on that business trip again?”
