5 Most Awesome Dwarf Performances In Film & TV

3. Warwick Davis As The Leprechaun (The Leprechaun)

Warwick Davis appears in our list for the first time as his horror genre alter-ego Lubdan the Leprechaun. After years of playing cute, friendly characters like Wicket W. Warrwick in Return of the Jedi and Willow Ufgood it was time for the incredibly talented Mr Davis to show the world he was capable of much darker performances as well. That opportunity arrived back in 1993 when he signed on for a series of tongue in cheek horror movies in which he would play an ugly, vengeful Leprechaun intent on causing havoc in our world so that his precious pot o' gold is returned to him. Warwick is well known for making costumes work to his advantage. He was a nobody in a bear outfit on the set of Return of the Jedi before he made himself famous by standing out from the crowd. Here he is given the chance to create an iconic movie villain and obviously revels in every glorious moment of it. Be amazed as Lubdan chases around a pre-nose job Jennifer Aniston, kicks it with Ice-T and generally comes up with as many horrible ways to kill people as he possibly can. Sure the films aren't pretty but there's no denying how fantastic Davis' performance is which is exactly why our gold loving little hombre makes it all the way to number 3 on our list. A reboot for the character is due from WWE Films starring wrestling superstar Hornswaggle but it's unlikely he'll be able to out shine Warwick.
