5 Most Controversial Moments In Quentin Tarantino Movies

5. Did He Just Kill John Travolta!?

Many may consider this one to be minor, but for legions of old ladies and groovy followers of Saturday Night Fever, this was way not cool man. After John Travolta had found success at an early age, his career began falling rather quickly and Tarantino made a brave decision by casting him as the drug induced gangster Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction. It would soon become a comeback for Travolta and skyrocket him back to the top of the movie biz, but his character did not have the a similarly positive ending to his Pulp Fiction experience.

When the film enters its final section where we follow Bruce Willis' Butch, we think we have left Vega behind and seen the last of him. However, after Butch throws his fight and goes back to his apartment to get his famously lucky watch, we watch as Vega carelessly leaves the bathroom and is torn to shreds. It was a part that could've been played by any no face background actor, but Tarantino decided to take America's sweetheart bad boy from Grease and let him have it. It was also controversial because it showed that Tarantino had very little interest in the conventional. His characters could die fast and brutally even if they were played by John Travolta himself.
