2. Did He Just Kill Hitler?!

The nerve of this man! Not only does he present films with foul language and bloody violence, but he has the nerve to mess with history and change it for the sake of his own twisted screenplays!? Hell ya he does. He's Tarantino and he's here to stay. In Inglorious Basterds, Tarantino made one of his violent films to date. He gave Nazi Germany and Hitler a royal butt kicking and who doesn't want that? He simply did it with pure glee and a vengeful spirit which explains the creation of a character like the Bear Jew or even the Basterds as a whole. Tarantino didn't just create an epic spaghetti World War II western that introduced America to Christoph Waltz, but he finally threw us completely into his world. In one of the climactic scenes, Tarantino said screw it! And let history blow in the wind as he wrote it to his own satisfaction. Locking Hitler and his minions in a movie theater, he has the Basterds rain down a parade of bullets on them and change the course of history forever. It was a chaotic and violent moment that asked us to completely give ourselves over and just accept that we enjoyed it in all its bloody gory. I know I did. The moment was not only controversial for its violent nature and unapologetic enjoyment in someone's death (albeit Hitler's), but Tarantino changed history which many saw as disrespectful. I was alright with it as were the people that made Basterds his second biggest hit. I'm sure a few Nazis were mad, though.
