3. Iron Man 3
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EjG-1U3wqA If I'm being quite honest, despite the first trailer, this wasn't going to originally be in my list until I saw the trailer which premiered with the Super Bowl. The main intrigue for me after the Super Bowl trailer is the situation he finds himself in. Thirteen people are falling from Air Force One, so you can assume that they're all of some importance at least. Iron Man can only carry four. Who does he save? Who does he leave to die? Of course, the reality of the situation is that he'll find some way to save them all and nobody will die, but I'd personally like to think that at least a couple of them die, leaving him having to deal with the trauma throughout the rest of the film. It's an interesting angle, a hero failing and having to come to terms with it. The story is pretty unclear. From what I do know from the trailers, The Mandarin (played by Ben Kinglsey, who is always good no matter what he's in) comes to give Iron Man a bit of a beating and he decides to do so by blowing up Tony Stark's mansion. Then Stark has to come back and defeat him, somehow. It's not really clear and I like that, the Iron Man 2 trailer gave a lot of it away, it practically showed the entire climax of the film (all two minutes of it). I really want this to be better than Iron Man 2 and so far it looks like it will deliver. I enjoyed the first Iron Man but the sequel was such an obvious Avengers shoe-in that it became irritating to watch. I also hope they've got rid of the annoying "Tony Stark and Pepper Potts talk over each other all the time so you can't understand what anybody's saying" dialogue.
