5 Movies You Only Watched For Disgusting Scenes

4. The Driller Killer

In today’s CGI loaded horror scene, this movie may seem relatively tame, but at the time it was labelled a 'video nasty', and was banned in the UK from 1984 to 1999. Even then, only a version of the movie with several scenes cut was allowed. The full uncut movie wasn’t released until 2002.

The story follows director Abel Ferrara’s character, Reno, as a New York artist drowning in bills and unable to pay his rent. Eventually his emotions get the better of him and he enters the night with a power drill and a battery pack, killing homeless people at random. He then progresses to murdering those he knows, like his landlord and girlfriend in an unnecessarily brutal fashion.

Let’s be honest, no one is going to watch a movie called The Driller Killer, with the tag line ‘there are those who kill violently!’ for the plot lines or character development, which is a good thing, because this movie has a severe lack of both.
