5 Movies You Only Watched For Disgusting Scenes
3. 127 Hours
Directed by Danny Boyle and featuring James Franco, 127 Hours is not a bad movie. In fact, it boasts a very impressive 93% on the Tomatometer. Based on the true story of Aron Ralston, there is just one scene that everyone is waiting for from the moment it begins.
While on a solo hiking and climbing expedition through the Bluejohn Canyon in Utah, Aron, played by Franco, slips and falls. This dislodges a boulder that crushes his hand and wrist, pinning him to the rock face with no escape. After much soul searching and hallucinating for five days, the hiker is finally spurred on to an intense, disgusting escape.
Aron is forced to strategically break the bones in his arm, fashion a make shift tourniquet so he doesn't bleed to death before finding help, and painstakingly saw off his limb with a very dull pocket knife. It's not easy watching, and the scene goes on far too long than is comfortable. But we knew this going in and have only ourselves to blame for watching it.
