5 Newly Acquired Properties That Are A Pefect Fit For Disney (And 5 That Are Not)

7. NOT: Fox 2000

The most apparent entry on this list, Fox 2000 Pictures has no place at Disney. The Walt Disney company recently made that clear, as the label has already been shuttered and the studio heads are looking for new gigs.

With a few exceptions, Fox 2000 focused mainly on mid-budget films that told stories that we have never seen before or have often overlooked. Hidden Figures, The Hate You Give and Bridge of Spies are recent movies that were produced by the now-dissolved studio.

If you are a fan of flicks, this move may cause you to resent this merger a bit. The studio has created some truly delightful films. The harsh reality is The Walt Disney Corporation didn't make such a massive financial investment to produce biopics and romantic comedies.

It is hard to imagine we will be completely void of the Fox 2000-esque movies with Disney, especially if the company wants to add to its trophy room come award season. Still, it feels like telling these stories will be less of a priority for Disney, and perhaps for Hollywood itself.
