5 Newly Acquired Properties That Are A Pefect Fit For Disney (And 5 That Are Not)

4. Perfect: X-Men/ Fantastic Four

In what may be Disney's most celebrated acquisition in this deal, the X-Men and Fantastic Four are now in play for Marvel Studios. Kevin Feige has some new toys to play with.

The Fantastic Four, Marvel's first family, has been brought to the big screen three times, all to underwhelming results. The first two films were seen as unimaginative and by the numbers even for the beta stage of the superhero genre. The attempted reboot, Fant4stic, is seen as one of the biggest flops in recent years.

There has been far more success with the X-Men. We have gotten some truly special X-Men films from Fox, but the quality has been inconsistent. For every X2: X-Men United and Logan, there has been an X-Men: Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Both teams need a change of scenery and will have it at Marvel Studios. With many of the founding Avengers' contracts ending, Marvel Studios can fill the void with their new properties.

Fans have been eager to see both teams fight alongside the World's Mightiest Heroes. Most of the future plans for the MCU have been kept close to the chest, as to not spoil Avengers: Endgame. If there will be any big and conclusive news on either team's involvement this year, it will most likely be announced during the D23 Expo in August.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is closing an eleven year chapter and there will certainly be room for the X-Men and Fantastic Four. It is just a matter of when.
