1. Diana (2013)
For a woman who led such an extraordinary life, you'd think it somewhat impossible to make a bottom of the barrel, bargain basement film about her. Yet here that film is, even though it managed to get one of the finest character actresses around in Naomi Watts. Depressing is a word we should have been using for entirely different reasons walking out of cinema screens having seen this biopic, but unfortunately it ended up relating to the film's dismal quality. The Royal Family have always been something of a draw for movie-goers, with films like The King's Speech and The Queen receiving critical acclaim and awards a plenty. Both movies were treated with reverence by the filmmakers, though, with an injection of characters flaws making the enigmatic family human, giving us something the audience could relate to. Diana is a cold and heartless film, forgetting all the love shown by such a wonderful person.
