5 Promising Films To See In February

3. The Lego Movie €“ February 7th

Animated features are generally terrible nowadays, so even when something decent comes along it feels like a gift from the movie gods. The Lego Movie doesn€™t just look passable though, it€™s looking like one of the best animated features in ages. And trust me, no one expected to be saying that when Hollywood revealed they were making a movie out of the popular building block toys. The premise is simple enough; in the wonderful world where everyone and everything is made up of Legos, one Lego character named Emmet discovers that he is the key to saving their world. That€™s not even where half the excitement comes from though, as with characters like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, this feature is like an early taste of the long awaited Justice League film. You also can€™t go wrong with Will Ferrell playing an evil villain hilariously named Lord Business. In addition to Ferrell there€™s also an absolutely loaded cast with the voices of Channing Tatum, Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman, Jonah Hill, and more. It€™s the comedy of the film though that appears golden and appealable to both children and adults. Nothing less should be expected from the directors of the original Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, so here's hoping.
