3. To One-Up Marvel
Marvel, certainly in terms of quantity and in terms of crossing characters over and expanding their cinematic universe, are absolutely slaughtering DC at the box office. That's not to say their movies are better - they're just doing more than DC and, as a result, their movie universe is more memorable and impressive at the moment. DC haven't really done much crossing over yet and ever their upcoming Superman versus Batman movie seems rushed. However, in the future, once their expanded universe is taking shape, including He-Man and friends in it would be nothing short of epic. THAT would be expansion. They're currently lagging behind Marvel, and it's going to take a while to catch up. But, once they have caught up, they could take the lead in emphatic fashion with this movie and Marvel would struggle to bring anything to the table to rival it.
