Specific comic book story arcs are the inspiration for numerous comic book movies - "Extremis" was the inspiration for Iron Man 3, 1982's "Wolverine" was the inspiration for The Wolverine, and "Age of Ultron" and "Days of Future Past" are the inspiration for the upcoming Avengers and X-Men movies of the same names. Other comic book arcs like Infinity Gauntlet, Hush and Civil War have been touted for the movie treatment thanks to their quality and popularity, so why not this one? It's action-packed, has an interesting story and brings together some of the most popular fictional characters of all time. With He-Man killing Superman and Dark Orko being revealed as Skeletor's master, it's already shaping up to be fantastic (and there are set to be a series of epic one-on-one battles between the likes of Teela and Wonder Woman, meaning it's only going to get better), so get it done DC and Warner Brothers!
