2. Richard Donner Would Be Back!
The last Richard Donner movie to be released was in 2006. How sad is that? The man that gave the world The Goonies, Superman: The Movie and Lethal Weapon hasn't directed in quite some time. It's not that he doesn't want to. He's been attached to Lethal Weapon 5 every time it's considered, he was trying to make a sequel to Goonies for awhile and even tried to make another collaboration with Gibson called Sam and George that never happened. I miss the old school tendencies of Donner's directing. He has a warm voice that give his action oriented fare a feeling other action movies just ain't got. You can't make Lethal Weapon without Donner. That's just a cold hard fact. The man directed all four original movies and it would be fantastic to see him back in the director's chair. He's been involved with some of the X-Men movies, but give Donner his own damn movie again! I'd say he's earned it. Lethal Weapon 5 just wouldn't be the same without the man. Plus, it would make the perfect comeback vehicle for him.
