5 Reasons Lethal Weapon 5 Would Be Great

2. Richard Donner Would Be Back!

Richard Donner The last Richard Donner movie to be released was in 2006. How sad is that? The man that gave the world The Goonies, Superman: The Movie and Lethal Weapon hasn't directed in quite some time. It's not that he doesn't want to. He's been attached to Lethal Weapon 5 every time it's considered, he was trying to make a sequel to Goonies for awhile and even tried to make another collaboration with Gibson called Sam and George that never happened. I miss the old school tendencies of Donner's directing. He has a warm voice that give his action oriented fare a feeling other action movies just ain't got. You can't make Lethal Weapon without Donner. That's just a cold hard fact. The man directed all four original movies and it would be fantastic to see him back in the director's chair. He's been involved with some of the X-Men movies, but give Donner his own damn movie again! I'd say he's earned it. Lethal Weapon 5 just wouldn't be the same without the man. Plus, it would make the perfect comeback vehicle for him.
