3. Heading An Ensemble Cast
In The Last Stand, it was mostly Schwarzenegger's show. Expendables 2 saw him join an ensemble cast with a small role and Escape Plan meant he needed to share the screen with his former off screen rival. Sabotage is a story where Schwarzenegger will be heading an ensemble cast and an impressive one to boot. The film includes acclaimed actors like Terrence Howard and Sam Worthington (looking very different than usual). With Sabotage, Schwarzenegger is sharing the screen with people that aren't action stars. These are real actors that bring emotional depth to their roles. The Terminator is heading the team so he'll need to interact with all the heavy hitters. For the first time in a long time, the former governor of California is going to have to hold his own on screen with people that can do more than diamond push ups and wince at the screen. Schwarzenegger is putting his talents to the test by allowing himself to be put in such a position, but the trailer suggests it's going to pay off and Schwarzenegger will get to join the rest of his action pals in the land of milk and honey where people can actually act (i.e. Stallone on Copland, Willis in Pulp Fiction or a billion other films).
