4. Physicality
If a critic writes that an actor gave a "strong performance," he probably means that they were acting and that it was good. But Arnie's probably the only actor in the world who actually gives strong performances because he's killing people and breaking their necks and acting as he does it like it's the easiest thing in the world. And that's something that gives him an edge over everybody else who has ever been in a film. Sure, Sean Connery is suave and cool as James Bond but there's no physicality to the man - he's unconvincing in a brawl because he can't act and fight at the same time. And that's a special combination everybody would agree makes a real actor. Others have tried, of course - just look at the cast of
The Expendables attempting to act and fight all at once in those movies. It just doesn't work. And that's because it can't be taught and Arnie won't teach anybody. He's busy.
