1. The Story
On the flip side of what I was talking about earlier regarding the tone of the film, many people may consider this film to not be dark enough. While some elements in this film will have disturbed some, fans of the comic will know just how much darker it could have been. Now while I was curious to see if this film would have the bravery to put some of those elements in. I wouldn't say the film suffered because of a lack of them. In fact the film was able to slyly reference a lot of darker moments from the comic and spin them into more humorous situations. I felt this time around Kick-Ass 2 had a much more balanced and interesting story to be told on multiple fronts. It wasn't just the Hit-Girl show. We had other interesting sub plots and new characters to care about. I will admit though that Hit-Girl's path in this film was a joy to watch and a very clever obstacle for her character to overcome...with hilarious consequences for her doubters. All I'm going to say is beware the sick stick. So that's what I think about Kick-Ass 2. What do you thin? Feel free to comment below!
