5 Superb 80s Kids Franchises That Need The Hollywood Treatment

5. M.A.S.K

maskM.A.S.K was essentially Transformers meets Top Gun meets The Fast and the Furious, so imagine combining the elements of those three movies in to one blockbuster! The M.A.S.K team (Mobile Armoured Strike Kommand), who were led by Matt Trakker, were an underground task force who went up against a criminal organisation known as V.E.N.O.M (Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem), who were led by the evil Miles Mayhem. The basic premise was that each side was composed of an army of men, all of which had two things in common: They all drove/piloted vehicles that would transform from something relatively innocent looking in to an armed weapon of destruction and they all wore mask which had a unique super-power. If you're unfamiliar with the franchise but can imagine non-sentient Transformers being driven and flown around by humans, you've pretty much got the idea. It would make a very cool, very action-packed movie that would be visually stunning and, whilst it's very cheesy, there's absolutely no reason it couldn't make the move from the 1980s to the 2010s and be every bit as popular as the Transformers movies.
