5 Superman Comic Book Ideas For Man Of Steel 2
2. Glen Glenmorgan (Grant Morrison's Action Comics)
The media tycoon at the helm of the Daily Planet's rival Galaxy Broadcasting in Grant Morrison's new 52 Action Comics take on a young and raw Kal-El, Glen Glenmorgan represents an "untouchable" in Metropolis, whose money and fame keeps him above the reach of the law and out of courts. In one of Superman's earliest confrontations, he attempts to take on the corrupt Glenmorgan with journalistic justice as Clark Kent, but when that fails due to Glenmorgan's deep political ties, Superman takes the law into his own hands and forces a confession from a mortified Galaxy Inc. CEO by holding him over a balcony perch as cops bear witness and draw their arms in futile resistance.
This would be a great character to feature in the Man Of Steel sequel as an opponent for Superman as well as the still-developing reporter Clark Kent character briefly seen in the final moments of MOS, giving him a great problem of bribery and corruption in Metropolis to contend with that cannot be solved with laser beams or fisticuffs.
