Originally conceived by British writers and sold to the US, Full House is proving that sitcom reboots can work. In the original series, which started in the States in 1987, three men brought up three young women. It helped to cement the careers of John Stamos and Bob Saget, while introducing twin terrors Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen to the world, and ran for eight seasons until 1995. When Full House ended, Stamos retained an ownership stake in the show, and it retained its popularity after it went into syndication. Stamos was integral in bringing it back for thirteen new episodes, exclusively for Netflix, entitled Fuller House. The premise is the same, only this time the young girls have all grown up and are bringing up children of their own. Most of the original cast are back, the notable exceptions being the Olsen twins who weren't even invited. You may not have seen a single episode before, but it's solid US family fun. And it's on Netflix from February 26th.
