5 Times Jennifer Lawrence Proved Herself To Be The Perfect Woman

1. Whenever She Talks About Her Childhood

As mentioned, put Jennifer Lawrence and David Letterman in front of a camera together and the result will always be interview gold. Letterman's pretty hit and miss in most cases, but for some reason he and Lawrence bounce off each other like old friends riffing on a series of ridiculous in-jokes. One of the best is whenever Lawrence is invited to share a story from her childhood, which invariably involves a quite ludicrous degree of parental neglect and sibling abuse. In an interview promoting X-Men: First Class, she related her her parents bought unbroken horses (because they were cheaper) for their farm in Kentucky, which Lawrence used to ride bareback until deforming her tailbone in a fall. Describing how her relationship with her brothers has changed since becoming famous, she related how they "support her in their own kind of way," by actually talking to her, encouraging her to do shots and offering to throw skateboards at suspected paparazzi. In contrast to her childhood days, when they'd throw tennis balls at her face and spread peanut butter on her face before setting dogs on her. Nice. The childhood stories don't only come out with Letterman, and a recent Access Hollywood interview saw her reveal a young crush on N'Sync-era Justin Timberlake, despite her parents being too cheap to spend $5 on buying her a poster ("They didn't really like me... [...] That was five dollars they just couldn't possibly spend on me. I'm still mad about it!"). Needless to say, anytime Lawrence is prompted to tell a childhood story, you know the results are going to be gold and a perfect reminder of why she should keep ignoring the trolls and stay just the way she is.
