2. Ellen Ripley (Alien Series)
Why shes an Ultimate Badass: Lets pretend Alien 3 and Resurrection didnt happen (I usually do) and, instead, focus on the seminal classics Alien and Aliens. In Alien, Ripley proves shes seven shades of badass by being the sole survivor of an attack by cinemas scariest monster: the Xenomorph. Usually that would be enough to earn your badass merit badge but Ripley isnt through kicking ass and taking names yet. James Camerons masterpiece Aliens shoots Ripley into the rarefied air of all-time badasses. Ripley tags along with a crew of hardened marines on a mission to LV-426 to discover the fate of colony of terraformers whove taken up residence there since the fateful events of Alien. The marines find themselves out of their depth against an army of Xenomorphs. By the time the dust settles, only Ripley is left standing, sporting a machine gun and a flamethrower. Then comes the greatest showdown of all time: a pissed off Ripley in a mech suit versus the greatest movie monster in history, the Queen Alien. Most anybody would wet themselves at the sight of the Queen Alien, but instead Ripley suits up and utters the classic line Get away from her you bitch! right before she tosses the Queen out of an airlock. If theres ever been a more badass moment in the movies, I havent seen it.
