2. Dormammu
With news recently breaking that Doctor Strange has all but been confirmed for MCU Phase 3, two obvious potential villains spring to mind for Strange to battle - Baron Mordo and Dormammu. For me, Dormammu should comfortably get the nod for big screen fame. First introduced in 1964, Dormammu is a terrifying, colossal, enormously powerful mystical entity with a flaming head. What the Hell is not to like about that? Dormammu also has ties to characters such as Loki, with whom he has formed an alliance in past comics, Hulk and Thor, whom he has battled on numerous occasions, and Odin, whom he has engaged in a game of cosmic chess. Not only would Dormammu provide ample opposition for the good Doctor and indeed any other heroes who would dare to oppose him, but he would also look awesome on screen with modern CGI.
