5. Venom
Of the many disappointments in Spider-Man 3, perhaps the worst offender was the depiction of Eddie Brock/Venom. Despite being one of the most recent additions to Spideys rogues gallery, Venom is probably the most popular of Spider-Mans villains and fans would love to see him return to the silver screen in style. One way to do this would be to follow the Ultimate version of the character in which Eddie Brock is a childhood friend of Peter's whose father worked with Richard Parker. The elder Brock and Parker created the Venom suit in their attempts to cure cancer. Peter finds the suit while trying to learn more about his father and bonds with it, similar to the original comic version. However, the suit began to make Peter more violent, so he gets rid of it with electricity. Eddie Brock then decides to try to suit himself, ignoring Peter's warnings, and ultimately becoming Venom. The links to Peter's father, and by association to OsCorp, would make this version fit in much better than the extraterrestrial version of the character. But either way, this time around, lets try less emo hair, more muscles.
Suggested Actor: Channing Tatum Venom is supposed to be the opposite of Spider-Man in virtually everyway, as is Eddie Brock. Tatums bulk is much more in line with Brocks typical depiction than stringy Topher Grace. Putting Tatum up against the more lithe Garfield could finally provide fans with the Spider-Man/Venom face-off theyve been waiting to see.
