An epic 3D adventure film based on the 1996 Mount Everest disaster, Everest stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Jason Clarke as the real-life catastrophe's expedition leaders, both of whom encounter disaster amid a violent snowstorm, resulting in many deaths. In addition to these two, the movie stars Keira Knightley, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Robin Wright, Emily Watson, Michael Kelly and Sam Worthington, and with such a distinguished cast, will hopefully erase bad memories of other similar survival flicks like, say, Vertical Limit. It remains to be seen whether the 3D gimmickry will make a tasteless spectacle out of a tragic real world event, however. Release Date: September 18th
