The Jurassic Park series well and truly stagnated after the woefully unimaginative Jurassic Park III flopped with critics, and frankly, the previous film, The Lost World, wasn't really up to much either. After numerous false starts and delays, Jurassic Park 4 is finally coming out, with indie director Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) helming a script which sees Jurassic World finally opening, where all Hell breaks loose after a genetically-engineered dinosaur hybrid escapes. Reception to the first trailer has been mixed to say the least, with many criticising the unfinished CGI, weirdly lethargic dialogue delivery by Chris Pratt, and dubious nature of the plot (particularly the above silly shot of the raptors running alongside Pratt's bike), though given how poor the last two films were, World doesn't exactly have to do much to be the second-best film in the series. Expectations have undeniably been lowered by that mild first trailer, though given the nostalgia-driven nature of the project, it's hard not to still be pretty excited about what an almost entirely new cast and crew are cooking up.
